Etomami Valley REDA Partnership for Renewal - A Strategy for the Saskatchewan Economy is a government of Saskatchewan initiative for communities, rural municipalities, businesses and other groups to take a leading role in the development of their communities. The REDA program is about giving rural communities a voice in the development of their communities. It is a chance to face the future of rural Saskatchewan with the tools necessary to create and maintain a vibrant environment for our residents. As a result of this, the Etomami Valley Regional Development Authority was formed on July 12, 1994. It is a partnership whose goal is to advance the economic and social needs of municipalities and other groups to improve the quality of life for our residents. The membership sets the direction and priorities and provides the input on projects and activities for the REDA. The Etomami Valley REDA covers an area from Wadena to Kelvington and Porcupine Plain, and from Preeceville to Hudson Bay. Northeast Saskatchewan represents one of the most diverse and scenic areas in the world. The natural, unspoiled beauty of this part of Saskatchewan provides an excellent setting in which to live and grow. The Northeast offers visitors a wonderful combination of "big city" services and natures wonders in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. There is an abundance of cultural and recreational activities that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Anytime is a good time to visit the Northeast within Saskatchewan.
